It all started in the 1970s, when guitarists were modifying double-cutaway LP Juniors and Specials from the ’50s. Paul Hamer started his own brand by building double-cutaway LP style bodies of the highest quality, non-arched flamed maple tops, and putting in DiMarzios. The original Hamers had sunburst finishes, so the model became “The Sunburst” (irregardlessly of the color). This electric guitar is superior in every way, especially including the price. This XT Series SAT P90 Gold-top features an arched top double cutaway mahogany body, 2 Hamer P-90 pickups, Stop Tail Piece, Tune-O-Matic Bridge and a gold top. It feels right, sounds right, looks right and plays nice at an easy price.
